Wilson is located 2 miles south of I-70 (interstate running east-west across Kansas). There are three big towns located within 50 miles.
Wilson Lake (the clearest lake in Kansas) is located 5 miles north of Wilson.

Wilson is home to many parks and outdoor activities including Ed and LaVange Shiroky Park (Worlds Largest Handpainted Czech Egg), Jellison Park and Ballfields, Lions Club Park, Pride Park - Splash Pad, Veterans Park, WEDC Disc Golf Course.
Czech Festival is held on the last Saturday of July every year.
Wilson Lake, the largest body of water located in the region, offers diverse recreational opportunities that attract a quarter million visitors every year. The lake is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (785.658.2551) and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (785.658.2465).
Lang Memorial Library, Wilson, KS opened in July 1924 in honor of J.A. Lang. The Library offers the surrounding communities books, computers, Internet access, DVDs, and other activities. Check them out on Facebook for
