Others present for the Inoperable Vehicle Hearing were:  Kea Zelenka Small – property
owner; Alan Rusch – Ellsworth County Independent/Reporter; Jeff Keith – Public
Compliance Officer; Josh Tipton – Police Chief;  and Susan Kriley – City Clerk. 

CALL TO ORDER-
Mayor Michael J. Peschka called the City of Wilson Inoperable Vehicle Hearing
to order on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.   

INOPERABLE VEHICLE HEARING- 611 29th inoperable vehicles -
The property owner of 611 29th requested the Inoperable Vehicle Hearing before
the Governing Body regarding the five inoperable vehicle violation notifications received.  Kea Zelenka
Small, property owner, presented information on her vehicles.  Two have been removed.  Three are left to be removed or made
operable, tagged, and insured. She requested a two week extension.

Cindy Heinze made a motion to approve an extension until March 1, 2021 for the
remaining three vehicles to be removed or made operable, tagged, and insured. Dan
Taylor seconded the motion and the motion carried. Kea was instructed to
contact Wilson City Hall, the Police Chief, or the Public Compliance Officer if
anything changes.  

6:06 p.m. Kea Zelenka Small left the hearing. 

The hearing ended at 6:07 p.m. with a motion from Cindy Heinze, seconded by Dan
Taylor, motion carried.

Alan Rusch – Ellsworth County Independent/Reporter; Jeff Keith – Public
Compliance Officer; Josh Tipton – Police Chief; and Susan Kriley – City Clerk. 

CALL TO ORDER-
Mayor Michael J. Peschka called the City of Wilson Inoperable Vehicle Hearing to order on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 6:15 p.m.   

INOPERABLE VEHICLE HEARING- 607 29th inoperable vehicles -
The property owner of 607 29th requested the Inoperable Vehicle Hearing before
the Governing Body regarding the one inoperable vehicle violation notification received.  Kenneth Soukup, property owner, presented
information on his vehicle and requested a 30 day extension. 

Cindy Heinze made a motion to approve a 30 day extension (until March 13, 2021) for
the vehicle to be removed or made operable, tagged, and insured. Dan Taylor
seconded the motion and the motion carried.  Kenneth was instructed to contact Wilson City Hall, the Police Chief, or
the Public Compliance Officer if anything changes. 

6:21 p.m. Kenneth Soukup left the hearing. 

The hearing ended at 6:22 p.m. with a motion from Dan Taylor, seconded by Cindy
Heinze, motion carried.    

 

Special Council Meeting
at Wilson City Hall

February 11, 2021 6:30 p.m.

Others present for the Special Council Meeting were:  Alan Rusch – Ellsworth County
Independent/Reporter;  and Susan Kriley – City Clerk. 

CALL TO ORDER-
Mayor Michael J. Peschka called the City of Wilson Special Council Meeting to
order on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.   

Agenda Item- Abandoned Building Ordinance -
The Abandoned Building Ordinance No. 854 was originally planned to be enforced
January 1, 2021.  Some clarifications are needed before it can be enforced.  After clarifications
are figured out, a notice can be sent with the City bills to explain the need
(school enrollment, population increase need), statistics, and an invitation to a Public Forum.  The first step is for
the Mayor and Council to review the ordinance. 

7:23 p.m. Chuck Crawford left the meeting.

Mayor Mike Peschka directed the Council to review specifically Section 1 (b) definition
(5) and (9).  Any change suggestions should be emailed to Wilson City Hall within the next couple of days.

The meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m. with a motion from Cindy Heinze, seconded by Dan
Taylor, motion carried.
